Privacy policy.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Plavah Climate Technologies Pvt Ltd, trading as TAFCO ("TAFCO", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit tafco.in, buy or register our products (including AirSHEL 058), contact us, or use any TAFCO app, dashboard or service (together, the "Services").

We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the rules made under it, and the Information Technology Act, 2000. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it separately and you may withdraw it at any time.

Terms not defined here carry the meaning given in our Terms and Conditions.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive data such as health records, biometrics or government ID numbers. Please do not share these with us.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal data only for these purposes:

Process orders, payments, delivery, installation and invoicing
Provide warranty support, servicing and filter replacement reminders
Show indoor air quality readings and alerts from your TAFCO devices
Respond to enquiries, quotes and site survey requests
Improve our products, website and Services using aggregated, de-identified data
Send order updates and service messages by SMS, email or WhatsApp
Send offers, newsletters and air quality content, only with your consent (you can opt out anytime)
Prevent fraud, secure our systems and meet legal, tax and accounting duties

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to keep it working, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it.

Essential cookies: needed for cart, checkout and login. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies: help us measure traffic and fix issues (for example, Google Analytics).
Marketing cookies: used by advertising partners to show relevant TAFCO ads. Used only with your consent.

Service providers: payment gateways, logistics and courier partners, installation and service technicians, cloud hosting, IT, analytics, SMS, email and WhatsApp messaging providers. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for any other purpose.
Authorised dealers and channel partners: where you buy or get service through them.
Legal and regulatory bodies: when required by law, court order or government request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of TAFCO, our customers or others.
Business transfers: if TAFCO is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your data may move to the new owner under this same Policy.

Our website may link to third party sites such as social media pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

6. Retention, security and storage

Retention. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Invoices and tax records are kept for the period required under GST and company law. Warranty and service records are kept for the life of the product warranty. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Security. We use reasonable security practices, including encryption, access controls and secure hosting, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Storage location. Your data is stored in India or with cloud providers that may process it outside India, only in countries permitted under the DPDP Act.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
Correct, complete or update inaccurate data
Request erasure of data we no longer need
Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already done)
Nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved

8. Children's privacy

Our Services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has shared data with us, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its effective date. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or a notice on our website.

10. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
